This is the 118.2 proof, edition 09.1 of the heavily peated Octomore (Ochdamh-mòr) series from Bruichladdich distillery, named "Dialogos", which is Greek for a written or spoken conversational exchange between two or more people.
- Malted to 156PPM
- Distilled from 100% Scottish grown Concerto barley, harvested in 2011 and distilled in 2012
- Matured entirely on Islay for five years in ex-American whiskey casks (5yrs), full term in Jim Beam (51%), Jack Daniels (26%), Clermont (15%), Old Grand-Dad (8%)
- Bottled unchill-filtered and coloring free at Bruichladdich Distillery, 59.1% alc. / vol.
- Limited to 42,000 bottles
Tasting Notes:
CHARACTER – Refined, sleek, confident in its youth. Older than its years.
AROMA – Smoke and oak, intense sweetness from the cask, vanilla, cinder toffee. The smoke is thick, velvety and vegetal, peat and earthy.
TASTE – Soft on the palate- no aggression, nutty, fudge, nougat, delicate coconut and rose petal floral.
FINISH – Long peat finish, hints of treacle, warm sand/salt.
COLOUR – Pale gold.
